As Secretary of State, I'll do something no one's done before in Indiana: mail every registered Hoosier a personalized guide to their own ballot. (You can see a sample PDF here.)
For anyone who'd prefer to have it on their phone, this digital version will be available too.
The candidates and public questions in this sample come from a real ballot — the one in my own precinct in Boone County, just outside Indianapolis, where I live.
Yours would look similar, but with candidates and polling location information specific to you, not me.
The Secretary of State should be making it easier for Hoosiers to know who's running, understand what each office does, and make sense of the public questions on their ballot.
When voters can review all of this and mark a sample ballot at home before heading to the polls, voting goes faster — for them, and for everyone else in line behind them.
People running for office make a lot of promises. I prefer to show you the work — which is why my campaign is releasing this now, so you know exactly what you'll get if I'm elected.
Greg Ballard
Independent candidate for Indiana Secretary of State
This sample digital voters guide was built by the Greg Ballard campaign to show what every Hoosier would get from the state if he is elected Secretary of State. It is not an official state publication, and nothing you mark here is a vote.
BEFORE YOU START
You're about to access the voters guide as if you were Greg Ballard.
We couldn't build a personalized guide for every voter yet — that's what Greg will do as Secretary of State.
So this demo is pre-loaded with his own ballot, candidates, and polling place in Boone County.
Everything you will see is his information, not yours.
